Designed in 1946 by George Nelson, the Slat Bench is one of the great icons of mid-century modernism. The Nelson Platform Bench introduced the architecturally founded principle of " honest design, " which embraces a clear and honest parallel between form and functionality.

The Nelson Bench is both simple and practical and can be used as a resting place for people or their belongings. It can be used for seating, or coffee table, and can be used just as adequately for displaying plants, artwork and decor, or for supporting a stereo or television, depending on need and situation.

No wonder it' s been called timeless, something this functional never dates. The slats are made with finger-jointed legs for superior strength.
