Our leather laces are chrome tanned and meet ISO 9002 certification standards. The chrome tanning process is better than Alum because Alum laces have a lingering unpleasant odor and weaken over time from rotting. Also, chrome tanned laces are free from any banned chemicals such as Azo, Benzedrine, nickel, cadmium, lead, and formaldehyde which may cause skin diseases, allergies or cancer. Lab results from CETRA, the internationally recognized European quality-testing laboratory, show that our leather laces have a breaking strength of 22-26 kgs, which exceeds CETRA’s standard of 20 kgs by 10-25%.
