When the probe reaches water, electronics on the reel emit a steady tone and light signal. The ultra-slim 5/8" (15 mm) diameter stainless steel and Teflon® probe is designed for use in a wide range of well diameters – down to 3/4" (18 mm). The encapsulated probe is fully submersible and gives leak-proof performance to the full tape depth. Tapes are steel encased in polyethylene. The English models have graduations in feet, 10ths of feet, and 100ths of feet. The Metric model has graduations in meters, centimeters, and millimeters. Tape complies with US-GGG-T-106E and European Class 11 Standards. Meters are constructed of unbreakable, U.V. resistant plastic with stainless steel fittings. Reel features large handles and soft vinyl grip. An integral frame hook allows the meter to hang on the casing. Electronics are fully encapsulated to protect against water and mechanical damage. The electronic reel module is easily removed to allow decontamination of the unit. Operates on one 9V battery (included). Meter backed by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.
