Designed to conform with B.S. 1016 and IP 12/ 3-T for determination of calorific value of subtances. It can also be used for determination of sulphur contents of solid and liquid fuels. The bomb is made of sustentic chromium nickel.
Molybedenum stainless steel and the closure ring is made of stainless steel. Each Bomb is tested at 300 atm., for 100 minutes and test certificate is issued. A high pressure schrader valve, fitted with a screwed cap is provided. The complete unit consists of water jacket, calorimeter vessel, stirrer, BEckman Thermometer, firing unit, crucible.
Ignition wire. The calorimeter water jacket is chrome plated inside and outside, the top being closed by an ebonite cover.
The instrument is provided with a vibrator unit which vibrates after every minute while testing. This avoids tapping of the thermometer which may lead to breakage… A special type of stirrer unit driven by a motor at a speed of 800 rpm is provided.
